FOUNDATIONS OF YOGA

This workshop focuses on the most foundational and fundamental aspects of the asana practice. We will go over alignment and correct muscle engagement as well as breath, drishti and bandhas. Using the Ashtanga Vinyasa standing postures as our base, we shall learn how to properly and safely enter and exit poses, optimizing the benefits received from the physical practice of Yoga. Beginners will benefit from this practice by attaining a better understanding of their bodies within any given asana and taking their practice to the next level. More experienced yogis get a chance to check-in with themselves and make sure they are not cutting corners during their practice, which will only enhance and help them in their more “advanced” postures. It is from the foundations that we are able to build from.
